Ministry of Worship

The mission of the ministry of worship is to plan and conduct worship services.  The ministry of worship currently  has a general worship committee.

Ministry of Teaching
Chair:  Tracey Boehme                                                                                                                 The mission of the ministry of teaching is to provide the opportunity and environment for persons to meet, accept and commit themselves to Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior; to help people grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and enrich their lives through the study of Scripture so that they might apply in their daily lives the principles set forth therein.  The ministry of teaching has a Christian Education Committee, children and youth programs and adult Bible study.  The DMCC Preschool is an integral part of the church's teaching and outreach ministry.            

Ministry of Fellowship                                                                                                             Co-Chairs:  Diane Steffen and Mary Dooley                                                                                The mission of the ministry of fellowship is to foster spiritual growth within the congregation through the planning and conduct of activities that incorporate new members into congregational fellowship, offer service opportunities to all members, and engender member-to-member support and understanding of the roles all fulfill in the furtherance of God's will within the Body of Christ.  The ministry works closely with the leaders of the following groups:  Christian Men's Fellowship (CMF), the Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF), and youth.  Each group chooses their own leader.

Ministry of Evangelism                                                                                                         Chair:  Chris Wilson                                                                                                         Evangelism is a part of the ministry of the whole church that every member is called to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and is to give account for the hope that is within.  The Ministry of Evangelism is to train, support, and encourage every member to communicate God's grace and love and to aid people in committing themselves to become Disciples of Christ and active participants in the church.                                                                                                                                      

Ministry of Missions                                                                                                            Chair:  Ronda Fassero                                                                                                                 The ministry of missions is to plan and administer a ministry of Christian witness and service by Davis Memorial Christian Church beyond its own immediate confines; to create within the congregation an understanding of, and commitment to, its missionary, social action and benevolent role in the church universal; and to its obligation for evangelism within the community.  In this way, members of the congregation live as Disciples and lead others to Jesus Christ by making known the love of God.  Currently, the ministry of missions includes mission trips, meals on wheels, seeds of faith, flowers of faith, and food pantry, among others.

Ministry of Personnel
Chair:  Rich Wilson, Jr.                                                                                                                      The mission of the ministry of personnel is to contribute to the establishment of a climate in which the purpose of the Church can best be served by developing, for the board's approval, all policies and procedures pertinent to the ministerial and professional staff/employees of Davis Memorial Christian Church.  The leader is the board's principal representative in all dealings with employees.  The ministry of personnel currently includes pastor/parish committee.

Ministry of Stewardship & Finance                                                                                               Chair:  Ruth Sullivan                                                                                                                    The mission of the ministry of stewardship & finance is to develop and maintain a spirit of Christian stewardship within Davis Memorial Christian Church so that the time and talents of the congregation and the resources available to the Church are applied effectively in the service of God.  The ministry of stewardship & finance currently includes the treasurer, investment trustees, gifts and memorials committee, annual pledge drive, and budget/bookkeeping.

Ministry of Property                                                                                                              Chair:  Jerry Chance                                                                                                                    The mission of the ministry of property is to maintain all facilities and safeguard all properties of the church so that the other ministries may be appropriately supported.
